Dr. Stein and Amherst Small Animal Hospital have assisted many pets and their owners over the years through our in-hospital assistance funds and through the Pet Emergency Fund. We also donate hospital funds to every spay and neuter done at the hospital, allowing us to offer your pet our state-of-the-art anesthetic protocol for maximum safety and comfort, at a heavily discounted and very affordable price.
In 2010, after the tragic and unexpected death of his 5 year old Golden Retriever, Dozer, Dr. Stein established Dozer’s Life Extension Fund with a contribution of his own money. One of the pets recently helped with Dozer’s Fund was Robin, the police dog, who was stricken with cancer this year:
