Most of you know Dr. Ann Hill from her 5 years on staff here at Amherst Small Animal Hospital (1997 through 2002). We were all sad when her family relocated to Rochester in 2002. The exciting news is that Dr. Hill has rejoined our staff! Dr. Hill will be commuting from Rochester to be part of our practice family once more.
Dr. Hill has a B.S. in Biology from Fordham University and graduated with a DVM degree from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Pittsford Animal Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Hill is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She is certified as a Canine & Feline Specialist. This represents a commitment to practice the highest quality veterinary medicine and surgery. To quote the ABVP website “… the credentialing process is rigorous and extremely demanding. Certification can only be achieved through demonstration of a thorough mastery of the field.” There are only 900 ABVP Diplomates in the entire world. Dr. Hill has a special interest in the care of geriatric patients.
Dr. Hill served four years on the Board of the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine, which is a continuing education organization. She also was the Continuing Education Chair for the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association in Rochester.
